She's eager to seek Ami's approval since she spent so many months (and levels) rebelling against Ami. She is quite a dutiful assistant to Ami's experiments, always having a vial or book ready on hand for her, able to do this in a way Aurora or Madame Curie can't either by lack of hands or because of sheer size. Hypatia also helps out at the shrine, tending to all the gardens to ensure they are beautiful for both Ami and Rei and the guests. Hypatia takes incredible offense when someone even bends a flower in her gardens, never mind plucking one.
